Northern Recycling & Waste Services is a family owned and locally operated full-service recycling and solid waste company. Together with our sister companies we have serviced the region for over a century. We are pleased to provide Paradise and unincorporated Butte County with efficient, economical, and sustainable services with
world class customer service.
We believe that properly managing our solid waste is a fundamental ecological issue. It illustrates, perhaps more clearly than any other environmental impact, that we must change many of our traditional habits and the cultural manner in which we manage our waste. Our mission is to eliminate waste, reuse and recycle all resources, provide objective education and quality service. It's our Planet, let's support it.
Our families serving your family
Being a local independent company, NRWS has a local customer service and billing department that can respond quickly to any questions or concerns that our customers might have.
Our entire team lives in Butte County, allowing us to make decisions quickly and decisively, to react to our customers changing needs.
Beginnings in paradise
Our roots run deep in Butte County. Doug Speicher, General Manager of Northern Recycling & Waste Services is the third generation of a 60 year industry in Butte County.
Along with Doug assisting in the management of the company are Tim Velikonia (Operations Manager) and Allan Guidi (Controller), former owners of OK Sanitation. Doug's family merged with OK Sanitation to form Paradise Solid Waste in 1990 creating a legacy that fosters and values community service.
Throughout the years the industry changed, mergers and acquisitions occurred leading our team into larger public company roles. In 2007, NRWS was formed to contract with the Town of Paradise and to further the service base to the un-incorporated area of Butte County. Doug, Tim and Al's decades of experience provide a foundation of quality that is instrumental in the formation of NRWS. Staying firm to our family roots we work day to day for the community with local decisions based on local needs. As a local, family-owned company, we are proud to serve the residents and businesses of this community.
